Finn Johannsen is a DJ and writer. He also co-runs the label Macro Recordings and worked at Hard Wax for a number of years. Having danced to house music as a young man in the late 80s to the sounds of the inimitable Klaus Stockhausen in the sweaty basement which comprised Hamburg's legendary Front club, his life has since been deeply immersed in it and the culture that surrounds it. He experienced first hand the way in which house music was born out of disco through those early records making their way over from the US thanks to a luminary like Stockhausen. He fell in love with it from the very beginning and it profoundly influenced him as a DJ. In recent years, he has been a resident at Berlin's Palomabar and has established the notorious Power House series of monthly parties, always playing alongside some very choice guest DJs.
